As architects, we want to ask if anyone feels that to control the construction cost of the building, you may increase or decrease the number of standard building materials like steel bars, cement concrete, bricks, sand mortar, cement, etc. as per their wish or as per the advice of masons or contractors, either you are over-intelligent or your advisor is over-intelligent.

I'd like to ask you to please keep this in a written document for the future and your family as it is not only an issue of safety for you and your family but also a matter of wasting your hard-earned money. Please remember that any written document can be proof of your trust and security, word of mouth is not necessary when it comes to building construction. It is not a big deal to turn away from the responsibility of oral words, but it is not possible to turn away from written documents. Only written documents can ensure the responsibility of the consultant.

Often everyone, knowingly or unknowingly, makes an oral agreement of their business while there is a high chance of deception, whereas put their family differences in writing where there is a strong foundation of trust. Due to this we often make a mistake in deciding between right and wrong and some outsider takes advantage of that situation.

People of the mid-segment do not choose the architect, do not follow their advice, do not want to spend on the architect’s fees, but do dream of building a palace without the design and advice of the architect. They dream that their building should also be designed by an architect, but only in dreams, not in reality.

If an architect tries to help such people, then these people do not miss the opportunity to cheat. Do not pay the architect’s fees, they say that we did not like anything, did not like the design. But they consider the same design as a dream come true and proudly show it to the nearby or known people. We are also building our building on the design of the architect.

These people trust more the words of those masons or contractors, while at the time of any disaster, masons or contractors do not even take responsibility, leaving people on their own. In that situation, those people remember that if we had made the right decisions, this accident could have been avoided. People make the same mistakes constantly because they do not want to consult the right person or follow the advice of the right person.

In such buildings, problems related to lack of quality in construction, electricity, water, the slope on the floor, the difference in floor level at the appropriate location, and moisture are often seen which involve constant physical, mental, and financial expenditure. Which could have been stopped by taking service from an architect. Those who are more intelligent than necessary should see this cost and tell all those who have to suffer problems and losses because of their phenomenal knowledge and wrong advice. Those more intelligent persons, by advising to save the fees of an architect, have set an example so that no one else should have to suffer in the future.

Mostly people in mid-segment decide to construct buildings from labor or labor contractors to save money, they cannot read and understand drawings, and cannot follow structural design drawings, yet they get construction done based on the same labor or labor contractor. Because those mid-segment people trust those labor or labor contractors not architects or engineers. These mid-segment people think that only labor or labor contractors are important. If someone faces any problem in this type of building, then it should be his responsibility. Then why at the time of any disaster, does justice appeal to the news, government, politician, or law?

Overall, the conclusion comes that if one wants to construct a building, then take the advice of a professional expert or take the advice of an architect. Everyone should follow this. If someone thinks that the architect’s fee is high, then definitely compare the building made without the architect’s design, then you will not find the architect’s fee much. You will come to know that the architect has saved more in the cost of building construction than the fee you have given to the architect. you will have a chance to be happy. And you will be able to hand over the building to your family as an inheritance.
